After being formed back in 1988. Sixteen years ago . The Voodoo Glow Skulls are back with their 8th album. Addicion, Tradicion, Revolucion. The album contains catchy ska punk. The songs are cheerful and uplifting. Spanish and English lyrics are used which are a welcome balance giving some vary to the songs. As well as the usual line up the Voodoo Glow Skulls have a three piece horn section for the first time in six years. This boasts two trumpets and a saxophone. Some songs are used to express the bands political views. One track that greatly shows this is ‘ We Represent’. As with every other Voodoo Glow Skull albums there is a covered track. This time it takes the form of Guns ‘N’ Roses ‘ Used To Love Her’. Which is an impressive version of this classic song. The album is full of energy but isn‘t the best album to have been released by the band. Saying that its still impressive! Any Voodoo Glow Skull fan will be at ease with this release.
