Murderdolls/ Trash Light Vision

Where did the name Trash Light Vision come from? It's a few things. I was taking out the trash, the bag broke, it was dark, I needed a Trash Light. So I wrote the title down on a list of song titles. I wrote the lyrics about seeing your way thought the garbage in the world and added the word 'vision'. Steve saw the song title and said that it was a cool name for the band, so I kept it for that because that's the way I see this band. It's a way for people who have shitty lives to rock out and forget about it for a while.

Who would you love to tour with while being in TLV?
Rancid, Guns and Roses, Bad Religion, AFI, AC-DC, Eighteen Visions, Distillers

Why did the dreads go? New band new look?
I had my dreads for like 5 years. They were down to my ass. When I started dreading my hair it was to emulate guys like Perry Ferrel or Twiggy Ramirez or Jello Bafria. Now all these NuMetal assholes have them, and they are something I want to have NOTHING to do with. So I can 'Answer that and stay fashionable...' ha,ha.. (I'll give you a cookie if you can tell me who has an album named that!)

Is TLV just a side project?
No. This will be my 'Other Band'. If that guy from Tool can have a Perfect Circle, than I can have TLV. I hate the term side project. Sounds like something you work on in Study Hall at school or something..

Will TLV be bringing out a CD anytime soon?
Hopefully. I had to work out some legalitys on some things before I could do much. That's part of the reason I am into giving away free music on the web site at the moment. I cant get into trouble if I give it away. Not only that but I have had such a dedicated fan base that I wanted to give the FAN's first dib's on me.

How did you feel when Wednesday13 was going on solo tours and getting all the attention from the Murderdolls fans?
All the power to him if he was doing it for the right reasons.

Because the Murderdolls all seem to be going their separate ways, is this the end of the Murderdolls or will there be another tour & album?
As far as I am concerned no. There are talks of us getting back together in some capaicity as soon as Nov. or as late as August of next year. But if I had a magic 8 ball to shake, the answer would say 'All sign's point to NO' (no meaning this is NOT the end not NO there is no more albums and tours....huh?)

Will it still be black & red, or is things going to change?
Who knows. I'm sure some things will change, I'm sure some will stay the same. Well just be ourselves. I have all my Red and Black tattoo's so I won't be changing, ha,ha...

Looking at other people in bands, who do you think you are most like?
Rancid or Guns and Roses. I know that I have had some success in the Music Business, but I'm back to square one in alot of ways. We all live in a shitty little house that we practice in and we make our own patches and Tshirts and do everything DIY. In that respect we are like Rancid, but we are still sleazy rock guys so in that way we are like Guns and Roses. Musically, both bands play with a ton of attitude and energy.

With TLV, are you just going to play the more bigger venues rather than the smaller clubs?
Nahhh..I was yelling at the promoter on the last tour to get us into SMALLER rooms! ha,ha..seriously! I love the insanity of a small room way more than a big place.

With the Murderdolls, do you think you only got attention because of Joey Jordison or not?
No. Look at 'To My Surprise'. Just because someone from Slipknot is in your band, does not mean that you will be huge. Look at the other guys from Tool or the Guys form Stone Temple Piolets, both bands-had other bands that nobody noticed.

So what have the Ghoulscouts got to look forward to with TLV?
What the Murderdolls do and what the Ghoulscouts are is something that is so special to me that it can never be duplicated. So I conciously made an effort to do something different. Not just to respect Joey, Wed, Eric and Ben, but to respect the Ghoulscouts. I think what the Ghoulscouts have to look forward to is the best band they could think of to tour WITH the Murderdolls and not be a Murerdolls clone band. Lot's of Blood, Sweat and Glitter.

The UK was the first place you played with TLV, why was this?
Because the Uk was the first place to embrase the Murderdolls. I'll never forget that and I'll always respect it.

I'd like to thank every one that came out and supported TLV on our last tour, and we will look forward to seeing you in Sept/Oct. We will rock like Fuck! I'd like to ask you what you think your doing asking me all these questions? ha,ha...just kidding.
