The Kinison, a band on La Salle records, were a good opener yet the music was different compared with the next two bands to come on stage. Not a problem, actually quite refreshing.
High pitched screamy vocals mixed with catchy riffs.
They had a short set but what people saw, people liked.
Sugarcult entered the stage to a mass of screams. Having been put on the bill quite late, I didn’t know that they were playing tonight.
They still tried to make their set more intimate and interacted with the crowd well. Tim mentioned Rock City were they had only just played back in October.
They played catchy songs such as Stuck In America, Bouncing Off The Walls and Pretty Girl.
The curtains drew back as Blink 182’s set began. Mark and Tom were prancing across the stage as Travis enthusiastically drummed at the back.
They played quite a few old songs including What’s my Age Again, All The Small Things, Carousel and Mutt,  also newer ones such as I Miss You and Down. Suprisingly they didn’t play their latest single, Always.
It was Tom’s birthday tonight so he got Happy Birthday sang to him by the audience and Mark.
Travis’ drum solo was spectacular. He sat at a rotating drum kit that came up from the ground in the middle of the arena. Everybody left amazed by his talent.
Mark and Tom had joked together all night, but also not trying to leave Travis out too much.
It ended with Mark on stage on his own playing Tom’s guitar, then Travis’ Drums, then a small keyboard kneeling down on the stage. A strange but effective ending to a great set.
This is the second time they have toured in the UK this year. This is definitely worth seeing again.
