You might have heard of Three Days Grace Only by the one song, I Hate Everything About You but their set tonight showed they had plenty of other decent songs such as Just Like You even if they did get off to a slow start. For some reason the singer figured he’d pick people off in the crowd with his guitar - strange. Maybe it was a way to get people to ‘fucking move’ like he kept urging us to do...
Hoobastank launched into Out of Control as they hit the stage one of the highlights from their current realease The Reason. It was a good start and clear that Hoobastank are a good band live. In fact their songs didn’t sound as tame as they do on their album.
Highlights of the night included The Reason (And the reason is yooooouuuuuuu - cue everyone in the room singing along and pointing at the band), Crawling In The Dark (Such a wonderful song) and a version of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun which singer Doug Robb introduced as a ‘serious’ song and where he sang in a strained high voice. Needless to say they only played half the song and it was funny none the less.
Although Hoobastank aren’t the greatest band in the world it was still entertaining.
