As with most bands when they bring out a great album, fans and media will always compare new releases with that particular album. In SOAD’s case that album was Toxicity and to keep with fashion this album isn’t as good, but in true SOAD fashion it is still a great album by it’s own merits.
Each song will not disappoint as the album is great through to the very end. Songs like ‘B.Y.O.B.’ and ‘Cigaro’ will be instantly recognised, the latter of the two with a very strong political theme.
Although the album doesn’t quite live up to the hype that surrounded it, it is a strong release and seems to see SOAD gradually moving towards to beating Toxicity. With their next release ‘Hypnotise’ close in the pipeline, it looks like a good time to be a SOAD fan.
