Say what you want about The Rasmus. In fact try telling the huge queue that waited outside for hours (especially during the extra hour we had to endure before being let in.) your dislike for the band and I’m sure it wouldn’t be a pleasant sight. But whatever your thoughts are of the chart-topping, feather-wearing foursome, tonight it’s irrelavant. Everyone here tonight has come to see one band and one band only.
Happylife tried thier best. They’re not a flop and they get people moving but it was always only ever going to be about one band.

THE RASMUS

The whole atmosphere was very eager from the unnecessary, girly screaming when the roadies were setting up to the constant chanting of ‘Rasmus, Rasmus’.
As the intro played to ‘Funeral Song’ and The Rasmus stepped out onto the stage, the room was full of screams. They launched head first into ‘First Day Of My Life’ and then into ‘Guilty’. During these songs and especially ‘In The Shadows’ every person in the room knew all the words to the extent that you couldn’t even hear vocalist Lauri singing.
The set consisted of a lot of older songs, which everybody sang along to, showing that The Rasmus have made their mark and that they aren’t just about one song. In fact the only song that no one knew the words to was a cover of a Bjork song.
In between every song was constant screaming making it seem more like we were seeing a boyband. (Yes, I am aware that this point can be argued...)
The Rasmus came back on for an encore and afterwards it was sorry to see them leave.
